CLOSE UP (2019)
A MACRO VIEW OF MOTHS AND BUTTERFLIES
Chelsea Hopkins-Allan & Lata Wright
The Museum of Western Australia - Albany
This exhibition showed a collection of my 'Moth Specimen' moth specimen drawings and macro butterfly wing photographs by Lata Wright. There was also a digital microscope and a large screen TV set up by the museum so the visitors could view the real butterfly specimens under the microscope. A 'field guide' shared information on the 25 local and international moth species artworks. These artworks were drawn much larger than real life so visitors would see and appreciate details that would not be visible on a specie
With the museum, I was also supported to run three art-science classes in local primary schools and a workshop for adults at the museum for National Science Week!
